Netflix is a subscription-based media service, which offers online streaming of a library of films and television programs. Giant Spoon was approached by Netflix to help build media buzz around the release of their 2018 historical epic, Outlaw King. We decided to bring the world of Medieval Scotland to Brooklyn and partnered with axe throwing bar, Kick Axe in Gowanus. As one of the chief designers on the project, I was tasked with transforming the main event space into a medieval Highlands bar, complete with custom targets, themed menus, in-world sculptural elements, and engraved axes. Prominent celebrities and influencers received an elaborate invitation to the event, which included a personalized land deed granting them one square foot of real Scottish land.
